How to install Aztec Node
Guide to installing Aztec node on xNode service
xNode is thrilled to announce support for running a Aztec Node.
Aztec is a Privacy-First L2 on Ethereum
On Ethereum today, everything is publicly visible, by everyone. In the real world, people enjoy privacy. Aztec brings privacy to Ethereum: private functions, executed and proved on a user’s device, public functions, executed in the Aztec Virtual Machine, private state, stored as UTXOs that only the owner can decrypt, public state, stored in a public merkle tree, composability between private/public execution and private/public state, public and private messaging with Ethereum. To make this possible, Aztec is not EVM compatible and is extending the Ethereum ecosystem by creating a new alt-VM!
Step 1 — Purchasing Aztec Node
Head to app.xnode.pro site.
Select “Aztec” and choose your desired rental duration.
Confirm your purchase by clicking “Checkout”.
Monitor the “Active Nodes” section to verify the deployment status.
Step 2 — Exclusive Discord Roles
Once your node is active, it’s time to claim the Apprentice and Guardian Discord Roles.
Click on the key icon in the “Active Nodes” section next to the Aztec node to obtain the node's IP address and wallet.
Go to Aztec Discord
Get verified
Upd: Now you can get the Apprentice role just by joining Discord.
Then your node should be included in a snapshot, which are often taken once a week.
To get the second role - Guardian, do the following:
Go to #upgrade-role channel
Type /checkip
Enter the node IP address and Wallet
P. S. The bot that issues the role may be working with outages, try it a few times.
Congratulations! Your Aztec node is now fully operational. For any inquiries or assistance, the xNode support team is readily available on Telegram and Discord. Don’t hesitate to reach out whenever needed.
